Hi, I’m Mike and I run a family farm with my brothers. Recently, we decided to invest in a rainwater tank to collect water for our stock. While the decision to buy a tank was simple enough, choosing the right one took a lot of thought. We had to work out how big the tank should be, where it should go, what it should be made from and what work we needed to do before it could be installed. We even ended up evaluating local rainfall at one point, We have our tank now and it’s working great, but I thought other people who are thinking of buying a rainwater tank might find our experiences useful. Hope our advice speeds things up for you!

As the name suggests, a 4-in-1 bucket has many uses over and above the earthmoving that can be done with a standard bucket. Although it can be used for this, the fact that the sides and bottom open out means that it can perform many other jobs. Grappling As well as moving earth, a 4-in-1 bucket can be used to grab and pick up material. It has a clam-like design with serrated blades at the top and bottom, which means it can be used to pick up large objects such as branches, logs or long pieces of concrete.

While tulips might be most closely associated with the flat, temperate plains of the Netherlands, they can grow just as well on the other side of the world, and both amateur and professional gardeners across Australia can grow a wide variety of attractive tulip cultivars. However, for humble tulip bulbs to grow into tall, stately flowers in such alien soils, a little help is sometimes required, and tulip growers would do well to add garden fertilisers to their tulip beds for the best results.
